Story: Keshav is on the run from his gang, after his boss found out about his affair with his daughter. He boards the Rajdhani Express from Delhi to Mumbai, sharing a cabin with Munish, Reena, and Banerjee. Director, story, screenplay and dialogues writer Mr.Ashok Kohli shouldhave banned for five years from making new movie so he can Streaming goodmovies between and realize his torturous attempt to the audienceotherwise after Streaminging this type of movie audience would be scared totry a new maker 's movie. If good film gets award then worst moviemakers should have been banned for sometimes to realize their mistakes.Nothing is good in this movie. Performance wise surprisingly PriyanshuChatterjee as Mr.Banerjee, is very good. He is the only actor in thismovie where you can find relief. Jimmy Shergil is fine. Good actors asGulshan Grover (T.T.E), Shilpa Shukla, ( Chak de India fame) as ladySub Inspector are wasted. I am so tortured that even I am scared toStreaming a new maker 's movie. Sorry "DEHRADUN DIARY" I am not able to tryyou.

In the mid eighties after India won the Cricket World Cup (in 1983),there were several movies released featuring the famous cricketstalwarts like Sunil Gavaskar, Kapil Dev, Sandeep Patil and SayedKirmani. And I remember in those years I used to wonder that, Why theseWorld renowned icons are so keen to venture into such mediocre andbadly directed Hindi films? or Do they always had a hidden ambition tobe a Film Star before joining Cricket and decided to give it a tryafter achieving the highest success in their chosen career?
Thankfully that avoidable phase got over quickly as none of those filmsworked at the box office despite of their gracious presence. Butrecently I had exactly the same feelings again while Streaminging RAJDHANIEXPRESS which is a debut film for the famous Indian Tennis Icon LeanderPaes in a role of a suspected terrorist. Now some vague justificationscould be there for Leander's passion for the medium in case the filmfeatured him as a positive hero fighting for justice or even as a loverboy struggling to get his love back. But it was really hard to acceptthat the Top most Indian Tennis player accepted the role of a man witha criminal background to be his debut vehicle in films.
Anyway taking on the film here, it begins as if its an intelligentportrayal of few different stories merging into one inside a movingtrain with several interesting characters. But within 10 minutes itsmediocre execution of sequences, some casually written dialogues andmany over the top performances clearly reveal that the film is nothingmore than an ambitious project supported by some amateurish efforts ofa new team. The story developments remain uninteresting before thefirst half with few deliberately added sequences for the smallercenters involving a sex worker. But I was really taken back Streaminging abadly written scene where a lady of a foreign origin travelling withher kid alone, allows a complete stranger (Leander Paes) to sleepinside her personal train coupe at night acting like a kind heartedfairy with no brains at all. Further post intermission RE fails to holdthe viewer's attention completely and then delivers a pretty weakclimax taking you nowhere.
However despite of having so many drawbacks the film has two goodpoints which deserve to be mentioned here. The first point is the waythe soundtrack uses the lyrics of Mirza Ghalib in its songs running inthe background which surely is a brave and appreciable attempt made bythe musical team. And secondly it features the veteran Gulshan Grover(as TT) and the talented Priyanshu Chatterjee (as a Bengali writer) whoforced me to keep sitting in my seat till the end (otherwise I wouldhave left it in between for sure). In other words, director Ashok Kohlichose a potential script and an interesting cast too including LeanderPaes but couldn't materialize on his assets and came up with an amateurkind of film lacking a lot.
In the acting department, though Leander Paes looks rough like his greycharacter and acts satisfactorily in his few scenes too. But he stillneeds to learn the art (becomes awkward at times) and I really couldnot understand that, What was the purpose or hurry for acting in filmswhen you even require a person to dub for your own dialogues? BothJimmy Sheirgill & Mukesh Rishi are tough but repetitive in their rolesof police officers. Sudhanshu Pandey is just okay, Sayali Bhagatremains wasted and the item girl plays her bold character confidently.Gulshan Grover acts as a thorough professional in an unimportant roleand Priyanshu Chatterjee seems to be enjoying his Bengali Writer'scharacter a lot.
In all, RAJDHANI EXPRESS could have been a decent Streaming if handleddifferently. But in the present version it just remains an overambitious attempt featuring India's famous Tennis Icon Leander Paes andnothing else.

The plot doesn't advance in this movie. The editing is bad, thedirection is bad, the acting is pathetic, the music is torturous andwhat-not.
Not a single element in this movie entertains and over that everysequence will trouble you for a week or so. Rajdhani Express is a verybad movie because not a single factor of film-making is up to the mark.Such a maddening plot, I wonder what Leander Paes is up to. He has onlyone wooden expression - whether he is smiling, laughing, or dancing. Heshould stop acting right away.
Although Rakdhani Express brought some old faces like Gulshan Grover,it is very bad cinema. It is so pathetic that the dialogues are cheaphumor or straight-away madness. Everything is wrong with this movie.IGNORE!
